Zharid hid his amusment at her reaction. He watched her study a little bit longer before trying again.
"I didn't mean to startle you. My name is Zharid. Pherhaps I could help you?"

*Tries to hide her annoyance.*
Well unless you have someway of figurin' out...or some kinda explanation as to how a person could be a travelin' through time I highly DOUBT you could be of any help.
*Looks around and sees that there is no one else really around. Cass sighs.*
Fine...If y'all wanna help yuh can...not like I'm goin' anywhere any time soon.

Time travel huh? Zharid thought to himself. Maybe she's what that zealot is after.
Zharid was unrebuked by the woman's irritation. He closed his eyes and reached out to the surrounding area with his mind. He struggled with the process since it really wasn't his area of expertise. He managed well enough to decide that despite that a few energy abnormalities, there was nothing in the vicinity powerful enough to cause time travel; if time travel was even possible at all. Zharid opened his eyes and looked at the woman.
"I don't think you're going to find what you need here. Perhaps you caused the event to happen yourself instead of an external source? I suppose it's possible that however you got here was one way; even that whatever it is that brought you here is beyond my abilities to track. I'm far from a master at this kind of thing."

Zharid couldn't believe how well this worked in his favor.
"There is someone who may be able to assist you. Nyiadu; the High Priestess of my country. At the very least she should be able to point you in the right direction." He paused for moment before continuing. "There are some preparations I'll need to make before meeting her if you are to go."

*Cass arched an eyebrow. Something troubled her with the situatin, but she couldn't figure out what...like she had been in the same situation before. For all she tried though she could not remember. That made her suspicous.*
And what kinda preprations would that be? Why need there be any preperations?
*Cass tries to figure out whether she should trust him or not.*
Besides I ain't even knowin' y'alls name yet.

"The name's Zharid. I said it earlier, but you must've missed it since you were busy at the time." Zharid said. "As for why the preparations; my region is a burning desert and I don't think that you could survive there unaided. I need to figure out how to get you there without cooking you in the process. I have some ideas on how to do it, but I need to think it over to make sure there are no errors."

*Raises both of her eyebrows but otherwise appears to be calm.*
Fine.
*Cass walks a little ways again, thinking about things in her own little world. Ain't no way this here is real...burnin' deserts? HAH! It ain't bein' normal! She tries to figure it but it does no good. Yet...at the same time she felt like the South WAS where she needed to go. Frustrated by all of this she kicks a little of the dry sand/mud mixture into the air.*

Zharid walked to a clearing not far off so that the woman wouldn't hear or see what he was about to do.
Once he reached the spot, he held out his left palm and used his nail to make a superficial gash on his palm. Once enough blood pooled, he turned his hand over and let it fall to the ground. He ignited the blood in midair and when the blood hit the ground, the fire blazed up until it was as tall as him.
"Stupid fire magic." Zharid muttered to himself. "'You're not trained well enough to cast the stronger spells on your own, so you have to use your blood as a catalyst.' She likes to rub it in my face that I can't do it very well, though she doesn't seem to mind taking advantage of my other talents." He took a moment to compose himself before continuing the ritual. "Nyiadu."
In the flames the image of a girl took form. Zharid could see her slight smile. "Ah, my eyes in the East. What truths do you see?" The girl asked.
"Save your silky words for your priests, Nyiadu. I'm talking to you because I believe I have found what you were looking for." Zharid said impatiently.
"So quickly? You never disappoint me. You do jobs that would take lesser men lifetimes. Or should I say, lesser races?" She asked with a grin.
Zharid rolled his eyes. "I don't have time to play your games right now. It's a young woman. Her clothes are nothing like any of the humans I've seen in your books. When I talked to her she said something about time travel. She speaks our language, but she does it in a manner that sounds odd."
Nyiadu's eyes glinted. "Interesting. Very well, bring her to me."
"There is a minor issue." Zharid added. "She's not like you; she can't survive the desert. She needs some sort of protection."
"I've already taken that into consideration." Nyiadu said with a smile. She unraveled the beads she was wearing on her wrist and held it out to Zharid. He reached into the fire and took the beads. He looked at them and noticed the flamestone on the end of it. It was the same necklace that the priests that served under her wore.
Nyiadu continued. "This will protect her from the extreme tempetures."
"And let everyone know you have claimed her." Zharid said sourly.
"It's the only object I have that can protect her." She said in feigned innocence. "If you were stronger with your magic you could protect her yourself..."
"Fine." Zharid cut her off. "I will waste no time getting her to you. Farewell." Zharid extinguished the flames before she could say anymore. If any of her lapdogs were around they would probably demand that she execute him for not rolling around on the ground worshipping her, let alone being so curt with her. It'll give me something to do when I get there. Zharid thought to himself.
He walked back to where the woman was waiting. He tossed the necklace at her. "Here you go."

*Arches and eyebrow, then looks down at the bracelet because it feels oddly warm.*
What is them there beads for?
*Looks at it suspicousley. Fiddles a little with it in her hand a little looking at each bead, bead by bead. Looking in between the beads to see what it was connected by. Looks up at Zharid.*
This things a little warm aint it? Gimme one reason to trust ya.
*Glares, not likeing the situation more and more.*

"It's enchanted so that it'll protect you from the extreme tempetures of the south. What would normally burn the flesh from your bones will just simply feel uncomfortably warm." Zharid said patiently. He couldn't say he blamed her paranoia. Come with me into lands you have no idea how to survive in! If I don't eat you something else will before or after you dehydrate to death! He thought to himself sarcastically.
"You don't have to come." Zharid said to her calmly. "Though I would say that it is your best bet on understanding what is going on." He paused for a moment. "If you decide to come, you will need to trust me a little bit more. The desert is not a placid place. If I tell you to run and you stop to demand why, you will die before I have time to explain."

*Stares at Zharid defiantley. But something in the back of her mind tells her to go with him to the South. Cass slumps her shoulders and sighs.*
FINE... I will try to trust ya more for now...ain't sayin' that it'll work but I will try to for now...I won't ask questions then but I'll a bein' askin' them afterwards. By the way in case y'all is wanderin' my name is Cassie but anyone that knows me calls me Cass.
*With that Cass sighs and slips on the bracelet glumly.*

"Nice to finally meet you Cass." Zharid said cheerfully. He then regarded her soberly. "Under no circumstances are you to take that off while we are there."
He stretched. Glad to finally make some headway. "The next line of business is getting you provisions. We need to find a town of some sort. I don't have enough supplies for us both to survive on, and you need some gear for different situations."

Name: Unknown Age: Looks Late Teen Kingdom: South Species: Unknown Description: Seems about 6'3''. Male. No one knows anything about him. Very mysterious person with Long straight black hair, solid black eyes, and slightly darkish tan skin. --------------------------------------------------------
The stranger wakes up from a curiously long sleep and looks around. All he sees around him is a large black, hooded robe, a large broad sword, a black charred staff with a mysterious black diamond on top. (Appearently someone wanted this guys identity to be a secret, even to him.) As the stranger walks outside to see where he is at, he spots a map posted on the back of the door with a note attached. "Travel..." is all that was written. The map was obviously a way around this place...
